Wike appoints Paramount Ruler of Emohua Sergeant Awuse as Chairman of Rivers Traditional Rulers.

As the Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike prepares to hand over government in the the 24hours, the out going governor has reconstituted the state traditional rulers Council.

Wike reconstituted the council by appointing His Majesty, Ohna Sergeant Awuse, Paramount Ruler of Emohua Kingdom, as Chairman of Rivers State Traditional Rulers.

Nyesom Wike, disclosed this yesterday, May 27, at the State Awards and Pre-Inauguration Dinner night held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Port Harcourt.

Announcing His Majesty, Ohna Awuse, as the new Chairman of Rivers State Traditional Rulers, he said, said: "By the powers vested on me as the Governor of Rivers State, I have graciously approved Ohna Sergeant Awuse as Chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council."

He however congratulated Sir Ohna Sergeant Awuse.

His Royal Majesty Sergeant Awuse is a Chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University, a politician and business man, and the Traditional head of Emuoha kindom.

The Amanyanabo of Opobo kingdom who is the immediate past Chairman of the Council is from same LGA and kingdom where the incoming governor Siminalayi Fubara comes from.
