
Rivers State Police command says its operatives killed four gangsters in Ndele Community, Emohua Local Government Area in the early hours of today.
Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka, said this at a media briefing at the Command headquarters in Port Harcourt.
CP Emeka said the operatives of the Rumuji Police Division in collaboration with the local vigilante responded to a distress call on the activities of the gang in Ndele community. CP Nwonyi said the gang, on sighting the Police, engaged them in a gun battle leading to the death of the four gangsters.
He said they were members of the gang that attacked Mgbola Village in Ndele on Tuesday and killed four people.
CP Nwonyi named the four gangsters killed as Chinumeze popularly known as Nigga-Raw, Chisa Orji, Okona Okwu, and one other yet to be identified. Our Correspondent reports that the corpses of the four gangsters were displayed at the police headquarters.
