Eko hotel staff from River State reaping good reward for returning 70,000 USD

It is good to reward a good deed for the younger generation to know that it pays to be good and for the betterment of our society.

The EKO hotel staff from Rivers State has been eulogised and encouraged by different people for returning a huge sum of 70,000 USD which has made the people of her state (Rivers State) and the people of her ethnic nationality (Ikwerre) proud of her deed.

Today the chairman of Ikwerre Local Government in Rivers State, Dr Samuel Nwanosike has asked the Eko Hotel Staff, Miss Ngozi Kekwaru to come and collect the sum of N2 million as a gift from him for making them proud.

Miss Ngozi Kekwaru, who is an Ikwerre girl from Emuoha LGA in Rivers State, made headlines after she returned 70,000 USD misplaced by a customer at her workplace in Lagos state. While commending her, Nwanosike thanked her for making Ikwerre proud and telling the world that Ikwerre people are honest, God-fearing and employable.

Meanwhile, her LGA chairman Dr Chidi Illoyd is also preparing a package for Miss Ngozi Kekwaru.

These gifts are coming after she received the sum of 10,000 USD from one of Nigeria's top musicians David Adeleke Popularly known as Davido.

Also, a former Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Dr Emma Okah, has urged the government at all tiers to immortalise the Rivers-born staff of Eko Hotel, Lagos, Ms Kekwaaru.
