The Executive Secretary (ES) Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board Dr. Kinikanwo Innocent Green and the management team of the played host to the Hon. Commissioner for Health Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh.
Dr. Oreh who is the daughter of Sir Dr. Peter Odili the former governor of Rivers State was made a commissioner by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The commissioner visited the board as part of her familiarisation tour of health systems within the state, identifying with her vision of enabling and providing respectful, accessible, affordable, comprehensive and continuous care at all levels primary, secondary and tertiary from a community perspective to all Rivers people.
Present during the visit were all directors of the board, and some key program officers.
In his welcome remarks, the ES recognised the capacity and passion of the commissioner and had no doubts that the reign of health affairs in the state was given to the right person. He further pledged the commitment of the board to support the vision of the commissioner where the health of Rivers people was concerned.
She took a tour within the board and noted areas of challenges which she assured the ES will all be duly resolved.
