Updated: Director of news at Rivers State Broadcasting corporation abducted by unknown gunmen

The family of  Priestba Anthony Wokocha who was kidnapped along Slaughter Bridge in Port Harcourt says her captors are demanding N150 million ransom. 

The husband of the victim, made this known when some members of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) in Rivers State visited to empathise with them.

He said the kidnappers contacted him on Saturday. Mr Wokocha said his wife was on her way from work on Thursday evening when she was kidnapped by gunmen. He said the incident happened at about 8 p.m. when her vehicle broke down around the Golf Estate Highway, Trans Amadi Port Harcourt. Priestba Anthony Wokocha is the Director of News, at Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation. 

Earlier, the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe Koko, said Commissioner of Police Nwonyi Emeka has mandated tactical teams to ensure that Mrs. Nwokocha regains her freedom and reunites with her family.
