As the national body of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) meet with president Tinubu at the presidential villa hours after they followed through on their plans to protest against the economic hardship experienced by Nigerians due to the removal of petrol subsidy.
In Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital the Labour Union submitted a five-point demand to the state government, asking that it be transmitted to the federal government.
The petition was submitted after they marched from the Labour House to the Government House in Port Harcourt where they were received by the Chief of staff to the state governor Siminalayi Fubara who assured them that they will do the needful.
