Rivers State Government continues to talk tough against cultism, threatening to dismiss any principal of a government secondary school involved with the social problem.
Sir Siminalayi Fubara disclosed this during the inauguration of the re-modelled Government Comprehensive Secondary School in Borokiri, Port Harcourt.
The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Chief OCJ Okocha who expressed sadness over the recent killing of a police officer in the state by cultists, urged the students of the school to distance themselves from cultism.
Chief OCJ okocha described education as the foundation for greatness, admonished the school authorities to take ownership and sustain the new standard of the structures.
The state Governor sir sim Fubara maintained that the structures were for the improvement of the quality of education in the state, adding that the immediate past administration initiated the remodeling of the school.
In an address, the Commissioner for Education, Professor Chinedu Mmom, said the school comprises administrative block, laboratories, ICT and sports facilities, as well as classrooms.
