Paramount Ruler of Kono-Boue Community in Khana LGA of Rivers State has pleaded not guilty to twenty-five count criminal charges against him in court

The Paramount Ruler of Kono-Boue Community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Taalor Tornwe, has pleaded not guilty to twenty-five count criminal charges against him and three others by a Nigeria security agency. 

The paramount Ruler was accused of sponsoring, killing, kidnapping for ransom, and operating as members of a cultist group in Kono-Boue community between 2019 to 2021. 

Meanwhile the trial Judge, Justice Else Thompson, after listening to the charges and plea, adjourned the matter to tomorrow, for the start of the trial.

He took his plea along with three others. King Tornwe is on bail on health grounds while the three others are in Port Harcourt Correctional Center, while some others involved in the matter are still at large.
